SisQo comes to Portsmouth!
Thats right, Sisqo will be touching Portsmouth City on Thursday 11th of Feb. Now Portsmouth is not use to having huge artists, especially Urban artists. Saying that the Mixtape Awards was held in the Portsmouth Guildhall arena in January, showcasing a selection of the top grime MCs.
Now SisQo coming to Portsmouth is a bit different than Wiley or Bashy coming. He is an international superstar known for being the lead singer of R&B group Dru Hill, but most of all for his legendary smash hit single “Thong Song.”
The event will be held at Tiger Tiger Portsmouth, hosted by UKs biggest student promotions company Rough Hill. The great thing is it will only be £4 to get into the event, so if you would like to go, get there when the doors are open.
For a big chunk of my school years, SisQo’s album Unleash the Dragon was my favorite CD to play in my discman, do you remember them things? You always had to be careful with Discmans cause they were huge and if you walked to fast it would skip the CD.
The video brings back so much memories. Has to be one of the best videos for a summer-jam anthem, and i’m not just talking about the scenes with the luminous thongs. This video started my love for all white Air Force 1s. Also if you watch carefully you see all the artists that were big at the time in the video, Ja Rule, Method Man, Redman, LL Cool J.
Now if you are going to lie and tell me you didn’t watch this years Celebrity Big Brother then I wont believe you. SisQo made one of the most explosive entrances onto the show by performing “Thong Song.” He was alway singing to his housemates, putting boy band star Dane Bowers to shame. When he left the Big Brother House it did get a bit boring after that.
